Family House students enjoyed attending The Nutcracker in Portland, Oregon.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who’ll decide where to go..”- Dr. Suess

Family House Academy believes in providing our students with new experiences in and outside our community. We offer monthly field trips that are an opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with the community. It is another opportunity to help our students learn to navigate the world around them.  Some of the field trips we have recently attended are the Washington State Capitol, The Nutcracker Ballet, Mt. St. Helens, an Amtrak train ride to downtown Seattle, taking Ubers to museums, and many more.
